With real-time messaging, you can ask for a visitor’s email address at the right time and place. For example, when a visitor is spending a lot of time on your website, you can ask them to sign up for your newsletter, special offer emails or downloadable content like an eBook.
There are several types of messages that you could use for this tactic including header bars, in-line messages and popups. They are dynamic and targeted, meaning that you can change the offers, incentives and content based on specific visitor criteria. And once a visitor converts, you can change or add another type of message that can help move them through the funnel faster – and so they are not seeing the same message twice, especially if they have already clicked!
The magic of real-time personalization is that you can have messages that include email capture on any page on any part of your website without the timely development of new web pages and landing pages. These simple message are very simple and are a highly effective tactic to drive more leads from your website.
