Hello and welcome to another Real-Time Tuesday. Today we will be providing real examples that we use to increase conversions on our landing pages when a visitor clicks on one of our Google Adwords ads. When a visitor clicks on an Evergage AdWords ad, they will be taken to one of our landing pages with a download form. After some time, we realized that we were all a little disappointed with the results. After six weeks, we decided we had to do something to increase the conversion rate of our landing pages. Here’s how we increased our conversion rate for our 20 Ways Retailers Do Web Personalization and our 30 Ways to do Website Personalization landing pages.

We decided that if a visitor clicked on our AdWords ad, we didn’t want to take them off of the page, so it would be best to just show them a welcome message related to the Google search they conducted at the bottom of the page.

This is just a simple welcome message, but we also show the visitor that we know what they are interested in, so they will see the power of Evergage and be more likely to download our resource.

The numbers speak for themselves. After we added the real-time personalization to this page, the conversion rate improved by 11%. We did the same test for the 20 Ways Retailers Do Web Personalization landing page, and used a similar message, and that landing page saw a 30% improvement in conversion rate.

This goes to show you that not all personalization has to be in-depth, sometimes just a simple welcome message can help you improve your conversion rate. We hope you enjoyed this weeks Real-Time Tuesday. See you next week!
