Use In-App Messages to Keep Your Clients Informed

January 27, 2015 by

Hello and welcome to another Real-Time Tuesday. This week we will be discussing a strategy for using in-app messages to keep your clients informed. Evergage allows SaaS companies to deliver personalized experiences and messages to customers right inside their application - in real time - such as updates, tips, tutorials, surveys, upgrade offers, and more.

We in Evergage Marketing recently deployed two in-app messages to keep our clients informed of an upcoming webinar and a new feature added to the product. So what better way is there to inform your customers than when they’re logged into your online application? It’s a great way to inform them while they are engaged with your product.

Evergage just released a new product, SmartHistory. SmartHistory is really only relevant to our e-commerce and content clients, so we easily targeted only those two segments, only showing this relevant message to those specific clients.

We also hosted a a webinar last week, Getting Started with Real-Time Personalization in 2015. This webinar was relevant to all clients as they were presented withe insights and tips to guide and accelerate their real time personalization efforts.. Here is the message that all clients saw when they logged into Evergage.

They saw this inline message when they first logged into Evergage. Since the first message is an infobar and this message is inline, we were able to promote both a webinar and inform clients of a new feature at the same time.

Sending emails will not see the same results as in-app messages. If you send emails about these announcements, there is a good chance that those emails will get lost in their inbox.Using in-app messages insures that when a client logs in, they will definitely see the announcement.
