Citrix is a cloud computing company that provides digital workspace, networking, and analytics solutions that enable productivity, boost mobile workstyles, as well as keeping all of your apps and data secure.

The opportunity we saw with Evergage, with personalization, was being able to have a deeper understanding of the customers and prospects that are coming to our site, and being able to guide them to the right content at the right time with what we’re able to know about them, whether that be their company size, their industry, their location, and then even down to their web behavior.

We set up campaigns that target at the macro level. So, often that may be just utilizing one data point about someone coming to our site—whether that’s their company size or just their industry, for example—and then, as they engage with our site, eventually we learn more about them and are able to pick out more attributes about them, especially if they convert. All of a sudden now we know their company and we know their job title. We’re able to build on the personalized experiences we’re delivering to them with then some of the campaigns we have set up to target at more of a micro segmentation level.

And then also, we’re utilizing machine-learning content recommendations across our site to really suggest content at the individual, one-to-one level. So, that’s how we work users from a one-to-many approach, when we just know maybe one or two things about them, and then over time as they engage and re-engage with our site, move towards that individual one-to-one personalized experience.

We’ve been using Evergage for a few years now, and it has really ramped up over time, where now, today, we are delivering personalized experiences to thousands of users daily when they come to our site. And within that group of users that we’re personalizing to, we’ve across the board seen increased engagement, increased conversion compared to our site-wide averages. The more you get your users engaged with your site, even though that campaign may not specifically be targeting them towards conversion in a direct way, indirectly that eventually leads to better conversion rates.

We chose Evergage as a personalization solution because we were really impressed with how robust the platform itself was, enabling us to target based on all different types of data attributes, as well as being able to consolidate all of our data into one system, so that we could really have a complete profile view of the users coming to our site.

Also, we were really impressed with the Evergage team’s willingness to partner with us, and really act as a partner and not just see us as another customer, and roll up their sleeves and really help us to address some technical challenges, as well as adapt to our business along the way.
